I call on the behalf of Shittybank.

Today we started calling customers. It wasn't as bad as I thought, but then again, I only managed to talk to one person and left messages in the other stuffs. I do not look forward to the day I encounter one of those difficult customers. Ugh. And my co-workers better not pile the work on me because they're too flippin' scared to call. I'm half these people's age with next to no experience calling customers (the little experience I do have left me scarred for life, okay, not, but still!) and I have co-workers stalling. Psh. PSH!! XD

Anywho... I hate phones. Phones are blah.

Uhh, something positive... doing these phone calls kinda makes the time go by faster... yay? Oh, and tomorrow is a Friday! Double yay! ^^

THE END.

Movie watched.

Went with the family people to see X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Uh. Let's get one thing clear here. Wolverine is my favourite. He's been my favourite since the old school bad ass-ness that had this for the opening. So, yay for movie exploring his past and whatnot, whoo. Ish.

The film was not that bad. My wonderful memory fails me in connecting the dots and seeing whether or not events lined up with the stars correctly or whatever. Can't be sure what wasn't what, but considering how much these movies love to condense crap and warp them, I wouldn't be surprised if something is outta whack. I did get a chuckle here and there, so it was entertaining.

My main issue with the movie was mostly the editing. And good god some of these shots were horrid. The soundtrack was ick, but I suppose since this is an action-y type of film, any repetitious loop of percussion, brass, and strings would be fine.

All in all, it was an okay film. So is Nightcrawler next? :P

NaNophailed.

So, yeah, uh, I did not write 50K. Did not write 10K either. Big fail on that in regards to my NaNo attempt this year. But, I do not think that I did not gain anything from this.

1. I kinda sorta have a bigger idea on how this particular story will flow.

2. I realized how awful I am at setting the mood of my writing.

3. The fact that I will never, ever see any of my writing published in novel form is solidified and written in stone. (Not that I am too bummed about this one, I know I am not a novelist or anything. I like the more visual way of telling a story, if ya know what I mean. ;3)

4. The Shinies are a terrible force to be reckoned with... *cough*Avatarmarathonofawesomedoom*cough*

5. Work sucks. Oh wait, that does not have anything to do with this... carrying on...

But anywho. The Avatar marathon was awesomeness. I think I saw all the episodes now and it was cool stuffs. And watching it did inspire me with my own story.

Conclusion: Back to the drawing board. I need some more research.

THE END.

Of the year has come... AHHHHH!!! /panics.

Details. Yay.

So, there was this contest on DA. It required that one make a design utilizing the Mountain Dew logo. Of course, being the rabid drinker of it, I decided to try. But see, even though I love the drink to death, I still manage to procrastinate and not start the picture until, say, the day entries are due. Such is the way of an Angie.

The result? This.

It sucks, but I turned something in and that is whoo. Or something. Meh.

Now I'll proceed to kick myself and bang my head over various hard objects for procrastinating.

When will I ever learn to do things in a timely manner? I don't know. Maybe I'll ask Santa for time managing skills when Christmas comes around. lolol. >.>;

Not.. shiny. /traumas. Dx

So, first impression of Stephenie Meyer's -- Twilight. Not a full-review or anything because I only read, uh, five paragraphs?

I could summarize that experience: There's this certain site that many people know. It's called www.fanfiction.net? Yeah. Go to that site, go to a random genre and go to a random story title (do not go to your favourite list, this must be a random selection), click a random story, read it, and it's just as good, if not, better, as what I've read so far.

THE END.

Now I shall play some Tales of the Abyss to recover my will to live.

Old

I'm liking this sketching thing. This particular one reminds me of the good ol' days when I drew nothing but dragons, haha.

Oscars = </3

This is one reason why I dislike the Oscars.

It would be amusing if, for one whole year, we could convince every film maker to make their film projects animated. So, it'll be a year of animation. No live-action, nada, zilch, zero, nil. I wonder if the people who nominate films for the Oscars (etc, etc, etc) would have a field day. I know I would.

And I learned that "ghettoize" is a word. Yay for expanding my vocabulary or something.

(Yes, I just wanted to use /fume!Sheppy icon. xD)

In which Angie wants to topple someone...

Ugh, I already know who the winner of Dancing with the Stars is.

It's a no-brainer, really, considering the empire behind her.

Yup.

Marie Osmond.

Ugh.

Someone help bash my head, like, now. Never mind. /bangs head on various hard objects.

But, the true winner is Mel B. Too bad she'll be out voted by Marie and her Empire. Poor Mel B. She's so much more talent than Marie. Helio, too.

*sigh*

I don't know why I torture myself like this. XD;

Oh well, at least there's Heroes. :D

EDIT: And ... she sucked, wtf, she sucked majorly, wtf, wtf, wtf. If she wins even though I said she would, but hey, pleasant surprises are nice, I'm... I'm... not going to be happy. /fumesmore.

In which Angie is blah... or something...

A small music rant:

1. Why is it that people think a cover with added beats or whatever is INFINITELY better than the original song? Seriously, just because there's more beats to an originally subtle and beautiful song, does not necessarily make it better. "True Colors" by Cyndi Lauper is a great song as is. I like Phil Collins and Babyface and all, but that song doesn't need anything added to it. Why do people think more is better?

"Less is more." Beautiful advice. Something some people need knocked into their heads.

And don't get me wrong, I like the other versions of the song, too, but still.

2. Why is it that some people think good music = loud? People probably can't sit through Samuel Barber's "Adagio for Strings" or Clint Mansell's soundtrack for The Fountain without complaining how snoringly boring they are.

Or, people don't think the singer's good because they don't do what the judges on American Idol describe as "power vocals". Sorry, but not all genres of music call for the gospel vocals, thanks. And no, I'm not defending people who rely on the synthesizer to make their voices better. *cough*BritneySpears*cough*

3. Why do people think that pretty face = pretty voice? Britney and her legion of incarnates are proof of that. :P

Yes, I bash Britney Spears, but really, can she sing? Nope. She can't. Don't even link me to those Youtube vids that supposedly proves she can sing a capella because she sounds worse than an American Idol reject when she does. *shudders*

/endrant.

I'm failing at NaNo this year. So bad. XD;

Work tomorrow. BLAH.

The end.

In which Angie rants a wee-teensy bit...

Small rant. Very small, really. But...

Boo on my youngest sister for compromising my Stargate Atlantis time. BOO! And not the Halloween ghost BOO, I'm talkin' the "Why do I have to go pick her up?" BOO. Jebus. And, no, mother person came. Actually, I had to accompany her but I decided to drive just to do something. XD

And another small rant that isn't really a rant, but something just amusing:

What security system for a gated community keeps the exit gate open and the entry gate closed? For reals, the community isn't secured if one of the gates are opened. 'course, I was law-abiding enough to try the silly directory calling doohicky thing to open the entry gate, but that didn't work. Yeah. I said screw it and went through the opened exit gate like some random car did before me *cough*, lololol.

I go watch SGA now.

/endrantthatisn'treallyarant

Edit: SGA episode was awesome. Sheppard pulled a Kirk as usual. lawlz.

And Edit: Fifth Element is awesome, too. Buwahahahaha.

In which Angie asks something random...

Should I kick this habit of reading books before seeing their film counterparts? Really. Just six minutes into The Dark is Rising and I feel the dread (the trailers gave me) rising. Like the Dark! lololololol! XD

The visuals are nice. Good editing. Definitely liked the shifty shots from behind the lockers at the beginning, but story-wise. I see disaster. Big, huge, gargantuan disaster.

I stop watching now... and eat, hahahahaha. Plus there's Top Gear and Heroes tonight! BUWAH!

In which Angie does a meme and fangirls and rants... all in one LJ! :D

Honesty Meme stolen from lots of people... okay, two. XD )

*

I got me some more shiny musics. Muwahahaha! Transformers OST! Yay! It's finally coming out! 'bout frickin' time! Too bad I have to wait until next month... oh well, zomg, it's coming out! :D!!!! And I finally fessed up and got something by Back-On. I love, love, love their song 'Chain'. I hope the album version isn't that different from the original. >.>;

*

I should stop spoiling myself so much, too. I now have day shift, working from 0930-1800. I guess there's some pros to it, but the major con for it is the fact that I lose money because I lose my night differential. Boo on that.

So, let's stay positive shall we?

1. I can do a Starbucks run. Mmmmm, green tea frap. Either that or orange mocha frap. Mmmm. :D
2. I can see my evening shows. :D
3. I get used to waking up early. :D
4. I get to eat a warm(ish) meal for dinner. :D
5. To be honest, the day goes by a lot quicker. :D
6. More selection at the cafeteria (since all the stations close down at 14:00). :D
7. I can get away with being grumpy because I am not a morning person. :D

There, seven positive things. I feel shiny with positivity! *shiny~ shiny~* *bling-bling!*

Anywho... yeah... weeee.
